DNRs and Local universities

Our DNRs, DEC, Fish and Wildlife groups along with some of our universities can be good sources of info on forage , both statewide and for individual bodies of water. Many offer information online and it's "free". They'll have colors and full descriptions along with habits of the forage and if you can find the forage you can find the fish.
