Need info for fishing near Salt Lake City

I'm coming in from Louisiana and will be working in the Vineyard / Orem area south of Salt Lake City. On my days off I'm wanting to fish for Smallmouth or Largemouth bass. Are there any lakes, rivers that have decent fishing in that area? If anyone has info or willing to help out with a back seat of a boat I will compensate the expenses, time and lunch. How much are out of state fishing license?
