First fly fishing fish!!

Went on base and fished for the small bream I saw while also practicing casting!! So far I SUCK at casting! But managed to get it out there 15-20' and caught some small bream!! One was barely 3" lol! Pretty cool watching them go at the fly taking it in and spitting it out so quickly. Missed so many hooksets...

Had 1 little bass take a fly 3xs and I never managed to hook him.

But anyways was fun to try something different!! Thanks for all the tips on the other post!

You'll master the casting, it takes some practice. There were no fly fishing anglers in my family. I learned from watching others and back then there were no YouTube videos. You might want to go up a bit in hook size. I don't remember them spitting them out that easily.

That's awesome that you got to land your first couple of fish on the fly rod Rudy!    Must have been a bit of a rush.
