You could always use a string with a knot tied every foot and 5 ounce weight to get it down. Couldn't resist, bad Oldfart.

Will be sending my unit back ,..not powering up . I also have a display power thing. Seems like the power switch is loose ,will not pop back out. $191.is a lot of money for service,...cheaper than buying a new one.

  Sent my Helix7 DI/Soner back twice already ,will be sending it back for the 3rd time next week. The first time ,would not power up. They fixed that, came back last week, tested it with display module.but... it was not showing anything ....white screen,.. NORMAL or SIMULATION setting. Will be calling them on Monday. They sent me a hat. which will not fix the problem. Maybe I should request a new Helix7 DI/Sonar unit.... may never happen .
