coldfront

TVA continues to pull current at about 33000 - 34000 cfs during the fall draw-down as they target winter pool elevations by mid-November.
bit of rain in the area with some flash flood warnings.  lake was 'dingy' this morning with variable clarity.  backs of coves/pockets with inflowing water/run-off were stained.  cleared up nicely as I moved into deeper water in the larger bays and mainlake.  Stayed in the Dallas Bay area this morning.
LIght rain for the morning.  Wind was out of the NOrth (blowing down lake) just enough for a ripple, but no chop.  Looking at shoreline, lake level looked down about 1-2 feet.
Water Temps were 78°F...  so cooling water temps, shorter days, dropping water levels...  some active fish schooling along weedlines near deeper water.  weed beds will be 'about' ready for froggin in a few weeks.  already some great areas down on NIckajack (that's another report, maybe)...
caught a few on moving baits.  nothing of any size.

Gotta love the fall topwater action, whether it be a spook, pop'r or my favorite the Frog...
