New bill in your house to no wake 300' from docks somebody living on lake does not like wakes on there dock   We got that BS here on Norman and it does not work, can be enforced now. Having wakes on lakes are a just part on living on the water and lucky to do so.  Best advise get you a hammer and screw gun and check dock every few months  Never had a problem with wakes when I lived in Kannapolis Boys best circle the wagons and get this nipped in the bud
