Welcome to SJHT 5th event of the 2024 Season where once again SJHT anglers ventured out of state during the NJ Closed Bass Season.  Recovering from being slightly under the weather,  I was able to get out to this event.

LUMS SP is always pretty good this time of year.  Decent quality bass, good numbers, and sometimes a decent MISC.  Well anglers got on them earlier and with efficiency.

Let's Go!

Summary: LUMS SP is still a good fishery although we know there was a big Delaware Bass Club Open Buddy Tournament the week before.  SJHT anglers still somewhat figured them out even though many were of the cookie cutter sizes.  The bite started out slow for most.  As the day went on and that light wind breeze caught us by surprise, the bite picked up a little.  All in all, anglers weren't really disappointed other than not catching a MISC.  LUMS SP seem a lil off but pressure can do that.

Out of 7 Anglers, there were 17 Bass caught....giving way to 36.38lbs .  The avg. weight was 2.14lbs. per Bass.

Overall.... 5 anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.   6 out of 7 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.

Congrats to Jiggen Den Tolentino, Pete Ingemi, and Trapper Trapani on your perforrmances.

Next up is NORTHEAST River, MD out of Anchor Marine in 1.5 weeks.

Tightlines,
