Hi guys, and thanks Bassinlou for the welcome. I live in Jacksonville, and most of my fishing is up here in local ponds and lakes. I fish out of a 9' Basshunter plastic boat that I have customized with a 55lb Minnkota w/ autopilot, lights, and a casting deck. I fish tournaments when I can with my best friend out of his Gambler. We've never done very well, but this year in the Wolfson tx, we got 29th with 16lbs on 4 fish (including a 6-1 I got on the third cast of the day). I learned bass fishing around 1990 when my friends and I would camp and canoe at Juniper Springs, but then moved to Colorado where I got heavily into fly fishing. Moved back to FL in 2004, but for some reason, didn't get back into bass fishing until around 2008. The first fish I caught upon my return was a 9lber at Rodman on an x-rap suspending jerkbait. Needless to say, I was hooked (pardon pun). I have owned a couple junker bass boats, and spent lots of time in the Cedar/Ortega River, with plenty of trips to the normal N. FL hotspots - Rodman, Orange, Lochloosa, Sampson, Stick, all over the St. Johns, etc. I love fishing the small water out of the small boat, but I really just look at it as practice for the real thing. Looking forward to getting another bass boat and doing a lot more tx fishing. My official pb was a 9-14 caught this January, my only FL Trophy Catch, but I have caught several others that may have weighed more, including one a couple years ago that was 27-5/8". But until I actually weigh one, I can't claim a legit double digit. Tight lines, and again, thanks for the warm welcome.

Tressbasser, let's move this discussion over to the BS section. I will offer some suggestions there.
Here are a couple 19's caught this morning.The one fish doesn't have his mouth closed, so I guess we can call it 18.5. Hoping these won't go into the final tally anyway. One was on a zman popping frog, the other on a wacky jig. I hope these pics are acceptable. Looks like I finally got it figured out.

Tressbasser, I documented your catch. You post what you see, and take the pic. Sometimes fish don't cooperate during the pic, so if you caught two 19's then there 19's. But if you say 18.5, and 19. Then that's what I'm documenting.
I wasn't going to document this one, but after looking at June's results, decided to throw it in. 17.5, chatterbait 1/2 oz "woops"y shad, w/ white swimbait trailer. So as of now, 19 + 18.5+ 17.5 =55". Measuring fish in inches takes me back to my trout fishing days.

Got on a hot Flippin bite in thick hydrilla this morning. 2- 19s, a 19.75, and a 21.5. Black and blue pit boss w 1-1/2oz tungsten, and one of the 19s was on the z-man frog. Could have made a big move, but lost a toad right before I got the 21.5. Caught several little ones also, which kept the action moving. Now I'm kicking back at the pool celebrating our nation's birthday with friends. Happy Independence Day everyone! 19+19+19+19.75+21.5=98.25

I'm in this month
Fished two lakes this AM and found 5 on the 2nd lake. Zero at the first lake.
Two on a Gambler EZ swimmer and 3 on a sq bill. Fish caught at 10am and 12pm. Nothing in between it was like a switch on and off for a few minutes. One fish was 8" if that so I didn't take a picture. The biggest I lost at the boat lol she came off mid swing in and landed on the side of the boat.. and fell out lol oh well thats fishing.

So far CCR and Tressbasser are in a tie. This has not happened for quite some time on here. If Tress is unable to break the tie, I will have to implement the tie breaker. This will simply consist at looking at each of your top 5 fish and the person who's caught the longest fish will be declared the winner. Nonetheless... you guys have done awesome this month.
