Shimano Sahara FE 2500

Just got it today as it was on a sale I could not pass up. I own 2 that are about 10 years old we use for steelies.
Thought it would make a great dropshot reel and it looks like just what I needed.
Very tight, solid build and a smooth drag, even better than the older 2.

I bought a 2500 for my stepson and a 1000 for one of my much younger co-anglers and the reels have held up very well.

Did a Google search and it found this thread.  I'm looking to buy this real.  What's your thoughts on it since you have had time to use it?

You will like the FI also. The whole Sahara series has been very good to me. whether for Steelies or bass.
