Title: Question for those with Tempest plus props
Post by: 97nitrofisher on June 26, 2012, 12:32:25 PM
i have a 06 Procraft super pro 210 SC with a 05 225hp Optimax and 10 inch manuel jackplate.
25P Tempest Plus prop.
I have been playing around with the set up and wanted to know if for those of you who run this kind of prop does it like to run deeper in the water.

Playing around with the boat it feels as the high i lift the motor the lest bit i feel (torque) mid range when i punch it. Also lost about 5 mph compare to running deeper. WP is safely at 22-28.

boat is running around 68-69 mph GPS @ 5700 rpm.

The Tempest does run bestter a little higher on the plate than a Fury.  If you are feeling torque, you probably have the motor to high.  Torque should be minimal once the right height is obtained.  Try lowering in 1/4" increments to see how the rig does.
