Title: FastCat Photos
Post by: OutdoorFrontiers on January 26, 2006, 01:16:14 PM
Hi All,
I'm new here, but I've been a performance bassboat nut for years. I'm SERIOUSLY considering a FastCat after talking to Jerry and another Cat owner in Ohio.
I've seen pictures of the boat in yellow, green/white, red and white. I also took a look in the gallery and saw the blue boat. It's pretty darned sharp looking.
Are there any other FastCat owners out there that would like to send me pictures of their rigs so I can get an idea of what the boat looks like in possibly different colors than the ones I've listed?
Steve

Actually, yes I have. I have been to the website, where I saw the yellow boat, and the green/white one. I called Jerry at Fast Cat with this question as well as a whole bunch of others and he was kind enough to send me a disk that showed the Fast Cat C20 from at least 100 different angles! Unfortunately, all the pictures were of a white boat.
I'm selling my Cobra Coosa 216, which was a predominently white boat, and while it's a great boat, white doesn't work well for my application.
I'm a fishing guide in Northern Wisconsin and we get lakes with heavy algae blooms. White hulls and algae don't go well together. Plus, I am the producer/host of a television show, and white boats have a tendancy to "blow out" the color on video tape.
So, I'm trying to find a color that will look good on the boat, not show algae as much as white and look good on television.
So c'mon guys, show me your Fast Cats so I can get mine on order!
Steve

Fastcatfire,
How do you find the fishability of your boat? I guide multi-species up here in the frozen north, bass, walleye, muskie and pike, primarily casting, occasionally drifting, never trolling. I don't go slow!!!
How does it move on the trolling motor? Is it fairly manuverable, does it track straight? Does the wind give you problems?
Have you had any storage shortage issues? I cleaned out my Cobra yesterday and was amazed/appalled at the amount of gear that I pulled out of the compartments.

That's cool news too. My old boat had a lot of storage and I got used to that. It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures how much storage is on the boat, but you're the 5th person to tell me that the storage is great.
It's decided, I'm going to be a Fast Cat owner! ~c~ I talked to Jerry today, now I just need to figure out what color and graphics! ::)
Oh man, now the wait until the boat comes, this is worse than Christmas......
