Title: Ranger 361v Flush trolling motor peddle
Post by: bassfisherman94 on August 25, 2012, 06:50:05 PM
Is it possible to put in a Flush trolling motor pedal mount in a 361v? Looking to get a 361v and would like to possibly do this.

Thanks

Just got myself a 94 361V. Looking into doing this as well. Anyone have any comments/suggestions beforehand?

Bump...Anyone?

If not, I guess I'll post pictures after diving into project.

A flush mount can be install as long as there is no obstruction underneath where you will be cutting.

Finished this weekend. Cut hole in deck with jigsaw, cleared out foam and installed drain to pvc tube in hull. Sealed exposed plywood and foam with fiberglass resin.

Added an aluminum bracket for helix 10 mount above.

That looks really nice, good job!
I missed this thread when originally posted in August.  I have a 360V and figure I can fit one in my front locker.  Like you, I will need to route a drain from my pan to the rear of the locker to keep my stuff from getting wet.  Gonna start working on my 87 360V soon and will probably have to put another trolling motor on it.  I have always been a hand control guy but since putting a foot control and pan on my aluminum boat I will probably put a foot control on it.

Thanks for the pictures, hope to do the same to a 364V I recently purchased.

Where did you get your pan?

BPS has these pans, but I found them at a local tackle shop here in SC for about 1/2 price.

A couple of things: 1st if anyone needs to know if you have the "clearance" call the manufacturer and they can tell you pretty quickly. 2nd, I have a Helix 7 and I will probably mount mine like you did; that's damn smooth. I'm installing a recess tray next week if it ever gets delivered 🤬

Can you give me the dimensions on the aluminum bracket and how it's mounted? Is it just bolted to the floor (I can't quite tell)?

I believe I made it 1ft(to span the tray) x 3-3/4" . I made it up myself. Will actually have to do a new one since the new Ultrex does not fit into the tray I have there now. Will be taking out in the next month and replacing with the Comfortroll D-Lux.

Tacklewarehouse - Comfortroll std. tray.

After looking at your pictures it looks like one of us put our tray in backwards. I have the round part of the tray furthest forward. Maybe it doesn't matter. My heart fluttered for a moment.

Put one in my Ranger 365V last year.  I got the product from R&R Design.  If you buy from R&R direct then you will get the drain connection and hose already installed.  If you buy from other sources you will only get the tray and nothing else.

I bought the Comfort Troll. It came with the drain hose and clamp but they weren't already hooked up. I've fished with this now a half dozen times and whoever said it was a great addition to the boat wasn't lying. I love it.
