Title: Back from Florida to the frozen North Country.
Post by: Baron49 on April 04, 2013, 10:57:19 AM
Just got back from 2 1/2 months in Florida.  Crazy weather was the deal this year.  Records for high temps were set almost every week in Jan.  Feb had cold fronts moving in each week cooling things down, and March was the coldest on record down there. Water temps the middle of Jan on East Toho were running about 70 to 72 degress, once the cold fronts started moving in the temps never recovered.  By the end of March when I was getting ready to come home they still had not gotten back into the 70's.

I did get a few decent fish and small fish were willing to come out and play most of the time.  Constant high winds prevented fishing in the mid-lake areas that proved so successful last year.

All in all it still beat sitting home indoors or shoveling snow here in Northern NY.

Glad you made it home safe, enjoy the snow and cold temps up there.  I think you took all the cold weather back north with you...thanks!
