Title: Port and Sodus Bays
Post by: Oldfart9999 on June 06, 2013, 05:32:38 AM
Hit Port bay Monday, it's a small bay off Lake Ontario, my first tournament is there in a week and a half. Very slow, 2 fish all morning, it was very windy and cold and I had a tough time with boat control. The first fish I got came on a spinnerbait, a dink, my second came from a creature bait about 23/4 lbs. The better fish came from the warmest water I found which was 66 degrees, there were other fish cruising, as late as it is they just coming to beds, the up/down weather has them screwed up. A friend and I went to Sodus Bay yesterday, at lot less wind than Monday, out of the northeast and only cold, not freaking cold. We got into some bass and rock bass. I tried a new rig that I'll put under techniques and presentations. Again the fish are finally on beds, the water temps were only about 64.
