Title: Ranger R72 Deck Extension
Post by: tpdealer on October 30, 2013, 04:30:09 PM
I have a 1997 Ranger R72 and would like to find a deck extension.  Any ideas where to find or suggestions to build one?  Thanks

Contact the Ranger Boats Company in Flippin, Arkansas.  They have deck extension for your boat. You will need your vin# when you talk to the service rep in the parts department .

Donald is all over this one ! I do have one additional suggestion though,  I have a 1998 and my first call to parts I was told that the Full Deck Extension With Lockable Storage was discontinued and no longer available ,  according to my HIN . .... I was inquiring through email with customer service about another item and mentioned the deck extension problem and was told this
"We have this one only . (Plain board type half extension) We will have to make it. Please call our Parts Department at 800-724-7273. Their hours are 8 am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Please ask for Scott Rector he will be glad to help you with this."
If for some reason they tell you it is no longer available , ask to speak with Scott Rector ! He got mine made and shipped in like 3-4 weeks and I love it ! My carpet color wasn't available so I went with Ash color and most likely will do the whole boat in the same this winter.

No not at all , my post is here in the Ranger Board "518 deck extension "
Was like $280 + shipping  , very reasonable in my opinion and half deck price is there too.

My R72 has the factory deck extension and it has the latches under it to secure it to the boat. Very nice  and very strong... :)
