Title: Appling, GA Winter Trip
Post by: Mr1ply on November 04, 2013, 02:11:19 PM
A few of my buddies and myself are thinking of making a winter trip down to Appling, GA for some disc golf and fishing. Does anyone know of good lakes in the area for fishing in like January/February?

Just north is Clark's Hill Lake a 72,000 acre lake. It is a well known lake, I have only fished it once about ten years ago.

There is a disc golf course in Wildwood Park that is right on Clark's Hill lake. They have 3 different camping areas in the park but no cabins. It is top notch we have stayed there quite a few times. The lake can be hit or miss in the winter depending on the weather. If you make it down during a warm week you can find them on the humps and shoals.
