i had a tourney there few weeks ago. fishing was little slow, but stilll caught a limit. caught most of them on jigs. pj jig. www.pjlures.com. i place 2nd in the tourney. some of other anglers were throwing plastic. most of the bass came out of 5 ft of water. week before the tourney the had lots of rain, that brought the lake level up about 5-6 ft.  couple days after the rain the open the gates to get the lake back to normal level.   red....

Well we had a night tournament difinetly you either loved it or hated it. The difference was you found fish or just woundered aimlessly in the night. But for me we found the fish it was a lot of luck i guess they were a little slow all night but drop shotting finesess worms around brush piles in 8ft to 12ft of water. And early in the morning with just set on a point and finally found the rest on tubes and worms from 1ft to 15ft deep. Found the smallmouth bass hit real well if made long cast with boat as far off the point and hit a shallow as possible and they were within the first 3ft. Dark colors was the ticket. water temp was in the low 80's.

I have thought that many times, fish winning ~mcc~ Night fishing can be like that hot or not. It's those really good nights that keep us coming back for more  ::) I'm with you when they are not biting you have to wonder if they are sleeping ....
