Brand new boat test ran before buying with a aluminum prop and no jack plate would run 50ish by the speedo, bought boat put a 6 inch jack plate and 13.35x17 solas on it at dealer. Test run was horrible , wouldnt get out of the hole and only run 42 on speedo . Lots of prop slip also ( I guess that's what it's called) max rpm was 6200. Jack plate is all the way down.
Can you provide some of your set up measurements? Would be helpful to know what is your prop to pad measurement. Your comments indicate you may be too deep and you are just plowing vs moving onto plane.

That is a surprise. You definitely are not too deep. I would expect that somewhere about 3 1/2" is where you should be. Your RPMs are good and the depth you currently have just might be creating some of the slip or blow out. Do you know what your water pressure is?
No vents and I do not have a water pressure gauge.
Don't know what to say. Perhaps a true expert can come along and offer their help. My personal thoughts are to drop the motor down to 3 1/2" and test. Then move up about 1/4" at a time to find the sweet spot. I would think you should be able to run about 60 with your motor/boat combo.
