Title: JACKPLATE TO MOTOR BOLTS QUESTION
Post by: NORRIS CRAFT 1 on December 12, 2015, 09:49:30 PM
Intsalling and E-LADDER from jackplate to motor and researched the correct bolts. F593C-THE are supposed to be twice the strenght as regular 304 stainless. The lenght is 2 3/4 long with shoulder and it does have a locking brass nut but the guy could only get them in course thread. I wanted fine thread but they are hard to find. Will i be ok with the course thread bolts & brass nuts.

I'm no expert and hopefully one will pick up on this thread but, I think the coarse thread and locking brass nuts should be fine. -Jim

You should be fine. I'd use them and just keep an eye on them. We should all be checking these bolts regularly anyway :-*
