My vote would be Duluth area Fish Lake and Island Resevoir. I would also be open to Alexandria area if that's what everyone else wants to do.

As you know I've wanted to do Mille Lacs also, but I'm going to fish it for fun regardless, so if nobody is interested in a tournament there I'm OK with that.

Brian will probably nominate Knife, I can live with that since we didn't go there last year. A little further is Big/Little Pine, which I really liked.

Tim will probably nominate Minnetonka because the state tournament is there.

We can also do "2017 State tournament waters" and just let it be a surprise, I think they vote on that in April.

Lastly, I'm just going to collect the minimum for dues this year. $80, so spread the word. It would be nice to get everyone paid up early.

Lot's of lakes in the Mille Lacs area that I've never fished too, like Borden and Farm Island

If mill lacs is open, I'd go there for "in towner", it's not that far of drive for most people. Would be easier that way to plan for weather.

Mille Lacs Regs as of today:

Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass: Bass season open through February 28, 2016. Combined possession limit is six, with only one Smallmouth Bass over 18".

Come to think of it, I'd rather do Grand Rapids instead of Alexandria. Pokegama and Bass up there are pretty fun if I recall

Or Chequamegon Bay would be crazy.

Big Birch near Melrose for an in town.
Minnetonka gets my vote.
Mille Lacs
O'dowd would also get my vote.

A tournament almost every other weekend on Le Homme Deiu, some big tournaments too based on a list I was looking at today.

Nothing will change with the Bass regs on Mille Lacs this year.

Big birch for in town probably won't happen, 2hr+ drive for most of club. I hate tonka, but it's 15 minutes from my house, so I'm in. Would love to fish O'dowd,  cut my teeth on that lake, need whole club there pre sun-up than shotgun takeoff(only 12 parking spots and there full at sunrise).  Good list rick, craig, see you guys Saturday!
