I have not been able to get out this year due to the fall I had at work. Still trying to rehab the right arm and left hand and have several more surgery's to get yet. Looks like I wont get out again until 2017. :'( :'(
After you posted the pictures a long time ago. You should just be happy to get to fish in 2017. You almost did not have that type of a future.
I know your pain. I haven't been out fishing yet either. After my cancer treatment I lost my strength and energy and my feet are numb. :'( :'( Hope by 2017 we can both get out fishing again.
That was a horrible injury. I'm amazed that you are making headway. Are you expecting a 100% mobility?

The best mobility I was expected to get was 75%. I am there now. Right arm is completely healed I am just trying to get strength back in it. Left hand I had a tendon transfer done. Still learning to open and close thumb . I was told I would not be able to bend thumb again but will be able to open and close it. Just had MRI done on left knee to see what extent of damage was done but I think it is minimal because I can still walk.. I did make a cast with my right arm in my back yard to see what it felt like. Placed a 5 gallon bucket at 40 yds and hit it on first cast. :) Not going to push it until I have more strength which I am working on now. I will be back on the water next year and them bass are going to pay ! :)
Glad to see you are still in good spirits Don. ;D Them Bass better look out next year. I don't see me doing any fishing till next year either unless I get some strength back by the time it cools off around here before hard water time.
Glad you're making that much progress. Flippin' and pitchin' therapy should be covered as a medical expense! 2017 isn't that far off. -Jim
