Does anyone know of a good reel repair guy. I have a couple of Shimano reels that I would like to get serviced professionally and maybe upgrade some bearings, gears, and drags. I am located in Maryland but most places shop now a days right?
Thanks for the help
Send Mike Cork on here a PM he can work on reels.
Here you go his web page.
Corks Reel Service (http://www.corksreelservice.com/)
I'll second Mike Cork. He did an excellent job on my reel.
I've never used Mike, but he does own the place and its public so if he were to shaft you or do a poor job, we would know about it lo lo
If you don't do it yourself, I'd go with Mike here.
Mike knows what he's doing with a reel, by all means give him a shout.

Scudzilla66, we can definitely get you fixed up.
While we can do the upgrades you mentioned, they may not be necessary to improve performance.
What models do you have?

Well I thought if I learned the finer parts of a reel it would make me a better fisherman :-* it just made me a better caster not catcher ~roflmao Rodney is right though, I can find them and Mother can catch them ~c~
Hi Mike,
