They have bass in utah?

I grew up freezing my ass off on strawberry and clear creek with my grandpa throwing power bait for trout.

They have smallmouth  :-* and some big ones at that. But not many folks fishing for them. Definitely more of a trout state.

like Mike said not to many fish for them and they should be big and not hook shy. ;D

Flaming Gorge has some really nice smallmouth. Also East Canyon Reservoir just east of SLC. That's where the state record cutthroat came out a couple of years back too. Echo Reservoir has smallmouth also, but the fishing there is a bit meh. I travel a lot to Salt Lake and usually chase trout, but when I lived in Wyoming, my buddies and I would fish Flaming Gorge for the macs and brown bass. Highly underrated!
