Plum is clean as a whistle if you have a strong northwesterly wind. Doesn't make sense looking at a map but I guess the way the gullies lay it works. Anything else and it's carpet.

When we launched it was covered for 300 plus yards

I haven't been to any of the popular launches.  The little launch I tried was halfway clean, but Salvania was still present.  A lot of the shoreline was unfishable and a lot was floating around but the water was fishable out in the open. I was on the North end.

Was socked in today, going to be hit or miss,,, could be clear at launch and clogged at weigh in,,,, if so back your trailer in and out of the water a few times to make waves, load boat, attach bow hook put motor in reverse and flush the crap out from under the bunks then pull out.  It helps going to have to find ways to fish around this chit don't look like it's going any where

Guys, I have been getting a lot of pictures from launches all over the lake.  The only launch that has consistently been clear is grices. However, The salvania issue was brought up at the vote for the lake and everyone still voted to have it on the lake.  I am reluctant to change the lake for the simple fact Ron listed above.  This problem isn't going away and in my opinion is not a safety issue with the lake.  It is a safety issue with boat equipment.  Once you leave the launch the lake appears to be fishable from the majority of posts I have seen.  I will discuss the issue with the board members and get their opinion.

Andrew, my only concern is transporting this stuff to other lakes if/when it gets trapped between the boat and bunk boards.  Understand that I am not trying to sway anyone to want to fish another lake, just pointing out the obvious.  I personally am not going to launch if its clogged up.  No point sucking that crap up in my motor and then spreading it around.  Theres no way to tell this far out what the situation will be on tournament day.  That being said, IMO if theres a chance it will be changed to the safety lake, I would rather see it happen sooner than later due to time, fuel, and other money spent due to prefishing.  Its a shame the lake is in such bad shape that this has to even be considered.  You and the board have a tough decision to make, and I'm good with whatever yall decide.  See yall on the 2nd.

I used my trolling motor yesterday to get from the ramp to the lake. It was pretty thick.

Whatever ya'll decide but I voted for a different lake. I'd love to spray that shit with gas and then light it on fire!! Will be hard to not get it trapped under the boat with it being that thick while loading. Good fish being caught all over! In Hawgherders we just had 341lbs of fish weighed-in for 38 anglers on Pines!!

Whoa! It's the long lost BassmanRudy! I'll have to go dump my boat in the river to clean off my trailer after yesterday before I go anywhere other than Caddo or Bistineau.
