Glad to hear you are still catching fish.... Was your sanko weighted? or weighless?

Hi Mike.........I put a very small weight on it. (split shot)

Do you put it close to the senko or up the line a bit? I know so many questions, but I just don't catch fish with a senko and am trying to figure it out. Seems like I do a lot of things wrong

If there is wind I use a weight, but its better without one, they fall better. I also learned this yr. to fish them slow. I was always too quick to retrive. I was having truble this yr. setting the hook too but found that its also me not keeping an eye on my line. I'm getting better! ;D good luck to you!

Fish Echo lake today for 3 hours.  Felt good to be back on the water.  I managed to catch 4 bass and some perch.  All the bass were keepers with one going around 3 1/2 pounds which was the first one I caught.  I caught all of them one my favoirte spring lure a jerk bait.  I was using a Lucky Craft Pointer 78 in Aurora gold.  They all came with the boat being in 12 feet of water and casting to the shore.  Fish all came out of about 6 feet of water.  Finally.

Got back out this morning with a good friend for a few hours.  We absolutly with them up with jerk baits.  Got around 25 bass all keepers.  One weighing 6-1.  What a nice fish.  Was windy and water temp was 53.  All fish were caught on jerk baits in 7 feet of water.

Is the Nitro at the campground now?  I see one over there.  Ok so it was someonelse that was there.  I never got close enough to tell what type of boat it was.  Don't know when your planning on going back but the there are a lot of fish getting ready to move on beds at Echo.  Keep a close eye. They were really starting to move good when i left on Tuesday.  I almost called in sick lol.

Mike I thought about it staying long and hard.  Since the new company took us over 22 people have been let go.  13 a week ago alone so with that in mind I went to work.

Hello....We stayed at Echo this weekend caught a few largest was 2.8 she came off a bed. Things were slow very slow. The weather we are having lately must be the reason. Fishing with the grandchildern was fun!!

Weere you and your husband on the lake on Saturday?  If saw I saw you fishing around the island.  I got 4 off the beds and 7 others just off.  I worked a slob off the island that was on a bed for 2 hours never did get the fish to bite.

Yes busy but I'm not going to let the fine me the 100 bucks for launching off the state ramp.  They started last year to give tickets even to people using their electric motors.

Last yr. it was $50. are you sure of the cost? Go camping at Echo camp ground and you have a ramp to put in.

No everyone was getting wacked liked a 92 dollar ticket.  So stupid.  I fought one last year on Stump Pond on Smithfield and won.  It seems like its the new younger DEM officers.  The older ones don't seem to bother us.

ARE YOU SAYING YOU CAN GO ON STUMP POND NOW?
I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ITS NOT THE PEOPLE THAT FISH ITS OTHERS
THANKS FOR THE INFO!

Should be able togo to Stump. I was told by a DEM Officer  that Stump was on the lsit as being able to launch there just not to use the any motors over 10 HP.  As far as I know they are done with the Dam.  I believe they finished it late last year.
