You all rock, Laurie and I had such a great time. The big family we have here on UB is amazing. I know from experience that if you put 15 members of one family together there are clashes. Much less when those people aren't blood... Even LMG was a cool dude, despite Lee's efforts to convince us otherwise  ~roflmao

Nothing but fun, respect, great food, and jokes, oh the jokes...

I mostly wanted to thank everyone for excepting the boys. I know events like this normally aren't exactly kid friendly, but each and everyone of you took the time to talk to the boys and interact with them, they loved it. This wasn't something you had to do but just goes to show how awesome our UB members are!!!!

Some of you spoiled them a bit much (I found out after I got home FlowerJohn ~xyz )

I just wanted to say thank you and all of you made Laurie, myself and the boys feel at home and very comfortable.

Mike what did FJ do this time. ~roflmao I know how much fun and friendly the UB get together are and I sure miss not being able to make one of them anymore because of health issues. My body after the Chemo and radiation treatments just can't take traveling to far anymore. :'( I'm hoping that by next year I will be able to make another one.

I'm hoping I live long enough to make one eventually

Seriously though I would really like to meet everyone face to face and share in the fun.

I don't know Lip but the picture you posted at your Son's wedding looked like you were ready to take on a pack of wildcats.  Behave yourself and maybe you will make it for the 2020 event.

Lots of good natured jabs and not a feather was ruffled.  This kind of rally is rare for sure.

A real pleasure to be part of this group.

I have attended three Guntersville Rally events.  All of them have been special with the main result being a group of folks getting together for some fun and fishing.  Never have I experienced a cross word even after some of the pranks were unleashed.  I think the fact that the rally is a party and not a fishing contest is key to the whole deal.  Everyone wants everyone to catch a bunch of bass and who catches the most or the biggest has never mattered in the past.

The common thread to these rallies has been Lee Smith.  Mr. Lee sets and example for all of us and he is truly the the major reason for the success and demeanor of this annual party.  I don't think there is a better friend anywhere and many of us appreciate his down home approach to the world and his outward generosity and kindness even while banging on pots and pans at 4:30 in the morning.

I couldent agree more. I have put together large family trips like this and I know the amount of work that goes into it before the trip and during the trip to keep things flowing. Then once its over for everybody else, there is still work to do. Kudoes to Lee Smith,

Mike, it was a pleasure meeting you and your family. Its really cool meeting all the guys I have talked to on the site but especially cool to meet the ones who started it all.

Them boys where GREAT! Had a blast again this year.   

I can tell you one thing, when you have 9 grown adults setting on the back porch and every single one of them has tears running down their faces from laughing so hard, ya had a good time.

Even when you poke a jab and everybody looks at them first to get their reaction before laughing at the top of their lungs...sorry Brad  ~roflmao  ~roflmao  but I had given you a full 24 hours... ;)  ~shade

This rally was a team effort, everybody pitched in as always and it turned out great!  From the sign welcoming our Florida kids to the last hugs goodbye, it was GREAT!  ~c~  ~c~

It was great to meet the 2 behind the magic of UB. Those kids are great, and yall are doing a awesome job, they are lucky to have you 2 in their lives. I had a blast playing disc golf with them. Was a great rally this year, and everyone had a blast it seems. But hey, thats the goal right?  ~beer~

Yup had a blast and the boys were great.  Mike, thanks for taking me out on the boat, I learned alot.  There were plenty of laughs every night, but the last night was the best.  A great group and will be trying really hard to make it every year after
