Title: Front Deck boat seats
Post by: TNDiver on April 11, 2020, 12:31:48 PM
I have two spots for front seats.  I realized I have two posts that are Swivl-EZE (PN P808A) but not sure how to figure out what seat to buy for them.  The post I have is just one that goes into the seat hole on the deck and has a slot to accept a seat.  Looks like this: https://www.westmarine.com/buy/swivl-eze-marine--pro-pole-extension-post--14247217?recordNum=2 (https://www.westmarine.com/buy/swivl-eze-marine--pro-pole-extension-post--14247217?recordNum=2)

I was planning to hit our local Marine West store, but it is closed as it was hit with the tornado.  Anyone have any input?  I was thinking about getting a chair and then another one that you lean on, with little back on it.

Any help would be appreciated

Or knowing exactly what your dealing with, I'd say you can use Any Seat and add a Seat Bass that has a pin that goes into the post.

Very common set up

That's what I was wondering if I could use any seat and find a bottom that fits the tube.  I was also hoping to find one that had adjustable height.

Fishing Seats don't normally come with the bottom bracket that fits your seat post.

They come with four holes and the bolts and will fit most any bracket. You will need to find the bracket separately.

I get my replacement fishing seats from Bass Pro or Bass Boat Seats.  I get a new leaning post seat every few years.

If you don't have pieces leftover, you didn't put it back together right...

Choose comfortable and functional seats for who's going to be using them. I put a Lean Pro up front for me. For the back I have a Stratos luxury bucket for my wife or older folks who cant stand long and a casting seat. I just recently purchased an additional seat post so that I don't have to hunt for and change the seat mounting before going out.

Thanks guys for the input. That helps.  Yes, I have two posts, but no seats.  I was planning to get one leaning and one sitting.  I have a deck boat, so I only have the two seats up front.
