Title: Millers Ferry
Post by: fishingram24 on March 13, 2021, 10:08:14 AM
Spent 3 days on the water with my buddy John from 3/9-3/11 with mixed results. Day 1 we launched at the new Bridgeport Ramp, which is the greatest by the way, and John caught 2 and I had 1 and very few other bites. Day 2 we went north launching my Xpress at Elm Bluff and both had limits of mainly largemouth but a few Spots in the mix. Most of mine were caught on a chatter bait with a few on plastics while John caught his on a swim bait, buzz bait and plastics. Day 3 we went to the same spots but only managed 12 keepers mostly on plastics, Baby D bomb and Ultra vibe worms, but my best fish came on a white spinner bait. Weather was great, 70's for high and 50 for low, water temps from mid 50's to low 60's and water level was stable at around 19' at the Selma gauge and 38' at the dam. No big fish but several in the 3 pound range and all in all a decent trip, not great but I've had worse.

Keep that in mind for our next trip Lee. Thanks. New ramp at Bridgeport is awesome by the way. Probably launch 4-5 at a time with lots of parking and nice facilities.

Heading to Millers Ferry in the morning. Will be doing a Friday-Sunday sty this time. Have not been in the fall in quite a while. Will throw a little of everything until I have a feel for what they want then run with it. Will be launching at Millers Ferry Marina on the south end tomorrow - then maybe Bridgeport on Saturday morning. Roland Cooper on Sunday morning.

Can't wait to hear how it goes. With everything cooling down, you should have a great time.
