I just saw some pics of this reel online. Looks more like a Shimano than a Daiwa to me. Not really digging the silver finish either.
Supposedly the new braking system will improve casting distance. Brake dial is nearly invisible to the eye as it is on the bottom and almost completely covered by the palming side plate. Also a smaller size than most Tatulas, Steez or Zillion reels.
The redesign of the frame makes it look like maybe, just maybe the T-Wing won't catch your hand/finger when you palm the reel but I don't know.

It's priced at $349.99 so a little too expensive for me to buy just to find out.
Some people are calling it the Metanium killer.

But I highly doubt that it's gonna pull any die hard Shimano guys away from the Metanium.
I'd be interested to hear any thoughts on the design and features, especially from anyone who owns previous Zillion reels.

Don't have one of these yet but love my other Zillions. Every high end rod of mine has a Zillion on it. I am only going to buy one of the new ones till I figure out if its right for me.
