Title: Cmap or Navionics for NW Louisiana, E. Texas
Post by: Dirtjunkie on March 16, 2021, 02:45:34 PM
Hey guys, looking for some advice. I want a new card for my Elite Ti2. Trying to decide which card for my area, Cmap or Navionics. I have played with the custom shading on the Cmap base that came on the unit and LOVE the way I can set my own depths but can't find any info if the Navionics can be set to my parameters like the Cmap or not. Which one would you recommend for this area, like I said NW Louisiana and E Texas. I really like the layout of the Cmap but cant find any info on which lakes are mapped on it. I am blessed to be able to fish a small lake outside Avinger Texas(a power plant lake) that is a private lake, I am pretty sure Navionics has it mapped but no idea about Cmap

Tia.

I have enjoyed the detail of my Navionics Chip. Every lake is well mapped except Bistineau. Not sure about E Texas I fished Palastine and Tyler and both were pretty accurate.

Thank you Mike. I am having a hard time getting any responses about the CMAP. I love the way I can shade at any level I want with the CMAP but can't even get them to give me a direct response on what is covered in our area.  ~xyz

I've only used Navionics and LakVu. No complaints at all.
