Title: Squam Lake 7/3
Post by: JHTR20 on July 04, 2021, 09:27:27 AM
Got out on Squam Lake yesterday for the first time in over 12 years.  Rained pretty much all day, fished 6:30  - 2:30.  Between my friend and I we only caught 5 smallies, 3 over 2lbs.   My partner also caught the biggest white perch I have seen in decades.  It was great to be on the water, was hoping the catching would have been better but with the weather swings we are having and hard post spawn, it was what it was.  Talked to a local loading the boat and he too said the bite was tough.

It also didn't help that on Wednesday the high was 95 and on Saturday 60!  But it sure beat sitting in the house.
