I know I mentioned added this Scotty Anchor mount on my BassHunter modification thread a couple of weeks ago, but I felt this specific modification needed a thread of its own.

I took out my BassHunter last Friday, to test out all the mods FD and I did to this little boat, and the Scotty Anchor mount really stood out above the rest of the mods on this particular outing.

I was using a 15lb mushroom anchor with a 1/2" rode. My initial concern was that the weight of the anchor was going to be too much for the mount, but FD's mounting design handled the weight just fine.

The Scotty anchor mount is very easy to use. Deploying and retrieving the anchor was very easy and convenient. I would recommend this anchor mount for small boats or kayaks.

Since then, I have down sized my anchor to a 10lbs and my rope to 3/8", which should make the anchor process even easier.  :-* :-*

Thanks for the information Lou.  I don't know that I really need one but I've been thinking about adding one to my Alumacraft.
