Title: Cane River - Friday, 4/15
Post by: CRosh324 on April 18, 2022, 04:04:40 PM
Took a trip to Cane River on Friday since we had a vacation day from work.  Struggled heavily, which has been the norm for this season.  Partly cloudy and not as much wind as expected.  Tried a frog early in the pads with one swing and miss, caught smallest bass ever caught on a double willow spinnerbait, and wife had two follow her spinnerbait to the boat.  Fished from daylight to about 1:00 and called it quits.  Talked to a couple boats on lake and nothing to report from them either.  Rain held off and wind not as bad as expecting, water temps around 65 with relatively clear water.

They've started an evening tournament on the Cane River, not sure which night but the bite might be better...
