started a thread Monday (this week) about my first issue with my humminbird helix unit. it stopped working, well, at least the power button lost function. turns out it took on water just sitting around in a rainstorm. that happened last saturday.
Monday I called HB, got the return authorization and dropped the unit off at UPS by 11 AM. HB paid shipping.
Tuesday I realized that I had NOT removed my Lakemaster chip before sending the unit in, so I reached out and talked to the customer service folks; let them know of my error and asked if they could please, if possible, to get that chip back to me. I wasn't really expecting a lot.
as of wednesday, they had not yet started on the unit.
well today is Saturday. just got home from the lake and there's this big box on my porch. yep, it's the Helix... now working... and WITH the chip in it.
Fast. Easy to talk to the folks at HB. Could not ask nor expect more from a company.
great work at Johnson outdoors.

That's great news. We don't get to hear that much about the POSITIVE results on Customer Service Issues.
CF, tks for sharing this with us.
So, your graph took on water while fishing in an, uhmm, Coldfront?
It is good to hear that your experience went well, and quickly. It is good to hear positive reviews.
Glad they took care of you and the Helix!
I've heard good things about Humminbird. Glad you got a quick turnaround!

Good customer service for sure. Back when I had to send one of my Lowrance in for service I received an envelope from customer service, it was a chip I had left in a unit, I didn't realize I did that but they sent it back to me.
