Title: Rod Action Shot
Post by: D.W. Verts on April 24, 2022, 08:51:17 AM
I was filming for YouTube the other day, and when I went to editing I started looking for pics for a "thumbnail" shot to head my video, and I came up with this-

I thought it looked pretty cool, and Gary like it as well.

Thanks Bud- way better. These action cameras don't let a lot of light in.

Great pic Dale, you should consider looking into the Canva app. They have a version for desktops as well. This is a free application that helps enhance and clean up pics for YouTube thumbnails  and host of other social media platforms.

Its what I use for all my thumbnails

Have you tinkered with the saturation, contrast, and color features?

Lou, that picture was downloaded from the video onto my computer when I save it to my possible list. That was all I ever did, no editing. Oh, and I sent it to Gary...!

I do the same thing, but on Canva you can enhance the picture. Brightness, color, saturation, contrast etc. Look into it.

It's just cool what you find sometimes. That one wasn't considered for a "thumbnail" (it doesn't really WORK for anything) but it just came out cool. I've got this one from last year that I thought I might use someday, maybe in my upcoming Dobyns rod video-
