Title: Motor Guide X3 Speed Coils
Post by: LASKEETERCAT on May 01, 2022, 12:40:16 PM
Hey friends, I have a Motor Guide X3 that keeps burning up the speed coils. I have seen many complaints on this issue. Is there anything that I can do, so the speed coils don't burn out. I just ordered my second one in two months, maybe it's time for another trolling motor. There are a lot of trolling motors on the market right now any suggestions on one that will hold up. Thanks

If this is a common problem, has Motor Guide addressed?

If I were to buy a new one right now it would be a Garmin. Just me.

Since you asked......are you sure your supply conductors and breaker are properly sized?
