Title: Is there a truly good trailer tire on the market?
Post by: big g on June 13, 2022, 07:59:37 PM
I used to use Goodyear Marathons.  My dealers don't carry them anymore.  Everything seems to be Chinese tires.  Don't mine paying more for quality.

Goodyear Endurance, Made in USA. I run them on both my boat trailer and 31' camper. I believe Carlisle is still an American made trailer tire as well and they have a very good rep. With the Goodyear Endurance, be sure to get the load range appropriate for your trailer's needs.

seems most trailer tires are only rated up to 55MPH which I find crazy in this day and age. if you wreck and insurance does investigate if you went over 55 you won't get any money back.

I heard the same thing from a tire guy!  He told me don't go over 60 with trailer tires!  Sounds like something is wrong about that philosophy!

True for most trailer tires. Most all trailer tires have the max speed on the sidewall. Good Year Endurance is a little better.

Speed rating isn't a problem with the Goodyear Endurance, most all sizes are rated 80+
