We have several UB members who are photography enthusiasts around here and those of us who just appreciate a great picture. This thread is open to any and all photography enthusiasts that would like to share their special outdoor moments with us. If it captures a special moment outside with mother nature we want to see it!! Enjoy the future pics!!  :)

Lou, great thread.  Tks for starting it up.  I never think to take pictures of the area (-) location of where I caught some fish.
I'll have to remember and do a better job of taking pictures.  There are a few guys here that do a GREAT Job of sharing the pictures of the areas they fish.

A couple pics of my favorite pond to fish, Whitman's Pond in Weymouth MA. Located right in the heart of a big city it's a nice escape to a quieter piece of nature.

These pics were taken not long after ice out when the water was still high. A couple months later and you'd be seeing thick pad fields near shore and some isolated patches further out.

First major snowfall of 2017 here. Playground area out back of our apartment building.

Kind of ominous looking the way the light hits objects. Was taken through a window with a screen on it so I was amazed it came out as well as it did.

We had that much snow in 15 minutes so that storm was just getting started!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220625/8b80ddcbeaafc53f118368c4e579eb07.jpg)

okay Lou... I have to say, this reminds me an awful lot of Monet's Water Lillies...  matter of fact, I had the opportunity years back when on a trip to Paris (learning how to make french baguettes) to take the train up to Giverny and walk through the Monet estate and gardens.

Absolutely gorgeous photo.. and my point is:  in league with landscapes that have inspired one of the absolute greatest artist of all.

makes one wonder what he'd have been able to do with access to the Glades...

a bit frustrating... as I needed to be able to change the focus (not possible on pointshoot phone camera)... that glowing bright spot had actual valley cuts, clouds... if I could only have changed the focal point.  still enjoyed it.

Starting at the launch, you can see we have low water also, just to the left is the access gate to the docks, there is just enough parking for the boat owners and not all of them. There is a county park parking lot just after the driveway up to the clubhouse parking, it's where I park when I'm launching my boat. The wall and stairs go up to an area with a grill and table by the meeting/party room. From the deck you can see the mooring area, the membership has gone from sportsmen to social, its mostly pleasure boats instead of fishing. The last I knew it was 300$ plus 10 hours of work to park a boat, it fills quickly and the folks that are there are mostly long term. Next is the main event, the bar, it's well stocked, there's a full kitchen which does get used for special events. There was a pig roast last weekend, there's a clambered coming up. Chilling and grilling ended last week, it was red and white hots and plain and cheese burgers, sometimes someone would bring a Mac or potato salad, baked beans and brownies and cookies. I could have 2 dogs, a diet Pepsi, and a salad or desert for 10$, can't beat that with a stick. The dock on the left is where I park my boat when it's time for lunch, to the left of that dock is an island I could get my boat around, not now it's overgrown with cattails.
That's the "CLUB".

This was probably my favorite on the water pic from Louisiana. Taken on Caddo Lake looking east towards the sunrise. Held the camera really low to the water to catch the rays coming in.

anyone who doesn't recognize the inspiration for all the great manmade cathedrals... just isn't paying attention.

the place to be closer to the creator is not 'in some pew/bench'...

So my question is? Do we do this for the fish. Or do we do this for the scenery. I Know my answer.

still love this thread.  gets folks to thinking about stuff.  seeing 'the moment' and not just rushing through it...

meanwhile... it's fall here in TN on the river...

It was 18° at sunrise this morning. I was a slacker getting on the water at 10. Not a jetski or wake boats or anyone else for that matter, just me on Winnipesaukee. Water still warm, 53 plus. We are going to be able to fish well into December. Florida has spoiled me for winter fishing. I was cold....or is it old? Thanks for the picture Eric.  During my years in New England Winnipesaukee was always one of our favorite places.  We would always end our season there and like you it would always be cold.  Many fond memories of that place for sure.
