Title: Aqueduct fishing/looking 3 Sept 22
Post by: BassmanRudy on September 03, 2022, 11:52:11 PM
Checked out a couple spots along the aqueduct tonight. It was mostly shaded so felt nice. Easy cast across it too. Bits of grass along the edges. Saw several swirls and splashes but didn't have any bites. Def going to be fishing this more as you can go miles and miles with no issues.

I've never fished the Aqueduct but I've heard/read about people catching giants stripers in there. You'll have to keep an eye on the flow and see what it does to the fishing. If there are stripers then there is a ton of bait and nature will always transplant bass and bream :-*

I've heard of 20-30lbers running in there!! That would be an AWESOME thing to experience!!

It's pretty low looking right now(comparing slime marks on the sides) and current was enough to swing your line on retrieve.

We used to catch stripers on spooks, when a 25 pounder smashes a spook it's amazing... But traps and cranks worked good too.
