What is your favorite do most everything , general purpose medium action bait cast rod from say 6'6" ~ 7' ? The type of bait cast rod you would generally use for smaller paddle tail swim baits , weightless soft plastics , #4 & #6 size treble hook lures , etc. under $175 ?
I have a Phenix Maxim that's 6ft 10 Medium that makes a great Floating worm and 1/4 oz Keitech rod. I also throw 1/4 oz Spinnerbaits on it.
The Falcon Lowrider Weightless worm or Mansfield would be a couple other good choices.
BPS Carbonlite. 110$
Rodney
Crazy. Maybe it's because I started with thus rod. I'm just gonna say it; Dobyns Fury 703. I kinda feel it punches way above its weight class.
It flings a weightless SENKO with crazy accuracy for me.

I agree with you about the Fury punching above it's weight. The Fury 733C was my weightess Senko rod for a long while.
IMO all Dobyns rods fish a good deal above their price points.
Probably why they've become my favorite brand of rods.

Falcon Bucoo or Dobyns Fury 663. I use the Falcon MH/M for spinner baits using braid and the Dobyns for smaller cranks and weightless plastics. Both are very good rods for me and have served me well and will add another Fury to the collection soon even though I don't need another one.
only because they fish more like a "medium" power rod (especially the Savvy), I would say my Dobyns Champion or Savvy 733C ~c~......LOVE these rods! One reason I like them is because I can get away with fishing 8lb copolymer line on them.....the Sierra 703C or 733 is a great one also!
St Croix has a 7'1" med fast rod that I feel really works well on the items you mentioned. I'm not seeing it on the current site listing but it's called LBC71MF.
I know a guy who builds a mean 7-0 ML-EF rod that will throw weightless trick worms a mile and can still turn a 5 pounder in the weeds....Just Sayin.

I know the same guy!! I have the exact rod, go figure. Small world. ;)
The new Abu Garcia Jordan Lee bait cast series has a Jerkbait and a Squarebill rod in that M/F 6'8" - 6'10" range that I may look into (if I can find one local in a store) .
