Being new to this thread it might be nice if you fill us in on what this is and some of the details. It might get a few others new to this to join, that is if we know what you guy are talking about.

Kal Kevin, fantasy fishing is the game that follows the Bass Elite Series tournaments. In each tournament there are 5 groups of anglers to pick in from also known as buckets. Pick an Angler who you think will do the best in the tournament out of each bucket. Points are awarded to the anglers based on how they finish.

Go to the Bassmaster website and click on the fantasy fishing tab to learn more about it. Sign up is free. We have our own Ultimate Bass group where we compete against each other strictly for bragging rights.

You can enter other groups too that offer prizes for the top finishers in their group, all free.

I love it because playing fantasy fishing will make you more engaged in the Bass Elite Series tournaments.

Check it out if you are interested and we'd love to have you join.

Lol. Bragging rights in this group. But with the other big groups I am AMAZED at how good the best guys are at this. To see their record in tournaments is stupid impressive. Those are the guys winning the big prizes.

Every group I've looked at or joined are free so why not take a chance. Tackle Warehouse has a big group.

I don't have all the details as it's going to be a specific rod I believe, but it will be a KVD Lews Casting rod to the year end winner of Ultimate Bass Fantasy Fishing group :toot:

Don't forget to enter the Drain the Lake contest as well. It takes a lot of strategy because you can only use an Angler once for the entire season. It is a lot of fun.

Well I am off to a decent start today but I am falling as the day goes on.  Bigger problem I have is my wife is going to give me shit tonight when she gets home because she is kicking my ass and is inside the top 100 overall right now.  Let's hope a few of my guys can pick it up!

Don't get too caught up with your day 1 and 2 scores because a lot usually changes. My main goal is for my pics to make the day 3 cut. After that, I start to look at how they are going to finish.

Since I missed getting a team in for the Big O I got my Seminole team locked in yesterday.

Not really happy with the way the buckets were represented. Also first time with the drain the lake aspect. Not sure yet if I like the idea of not.

Either way, since I didn't have a team for the first event I'm guaranteed to do better this time.....

Yesterday was my son's 25th birthday so I wasn't able to watch the coverage.

I've got 2 guys in the top 20 after day 1. Lots of time for things to change though.

Boy, if you would've watched my score throughout the tournament, I was all over the place. At one point near the end of the first day, I was at 98%. Im going to end up around 80 % when the tournament is over. That's why I don't (usually) pay any attention to the score until the 3rd day.

Plenty of time left to make up some ground! I hope so!

What's the big deal about fantasy bass fishing? Most of the times I went were fantasy fishing.

As I mentioned in a different thread I had Gussy in my regular roster. I had 5 guys in both the regular and drain the lake rosters but I now only see 4 in each and Gussy is missing.

Smallie, I checked your lineup and it looks like you only had 4 for your team. I'm not sure what happened. I couldn't see your drain the lake team. You should have 8 on it. Once you pick an Angler for drain the lake you can't pick them again for the rest of the year. It forces you to try and plan ahead.

Thanks Steve  I'm sure the error was on my part. I just know I originally had 5 in each. Maybe I did something wrong before saving the rosters.

No biggie either way. It's all for fun for me anyway and it's the first time it's ever happened. I'll just make sure to be extra careful next time.

I did a last minute switch myself for Drain the Lake. I thought I learned my lesson last year. Prezukuret was the one that I switched out for Wes Logan. What a mistake that was! I'm still doing good at 98% at Drain the Lake. Hoping to move up.

Well thats a first for me,  3 of my anglers were1,2,3.

Man, the Drain the Lake is killing me! I picked Mosley as the winner and now I moved up to the 99% club. I saved all the smallmouth hammers for the final 3 tournaments. Let's hope that my planning works out.

I see that I am slipping.  this Sabine river tournament almost snatched my britches down.  I picked the winner and 16th place,  the other three were in the 80's.  I still have the lead,  but not with nearly the gap that I once had.

I enjoy this,  but things don't always work out like you expect them to.

I missed it....

Our Ultimate Bass race tightened up after the first day of the tournament. 30 points separates the top 3.

Who would of thought that the Johnsons would've struggled on this one.

It's still early so a lot will change.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to look at the UB standings? I'm sure I'm towards the bottom but was just curious...

Hi Mike.
If you choose Groups off the top rows. Then pick ultimatebass from the drop down. The results should be top down already but you can click on "Total" or even the # of the tourney you want to see the results in order of finish in that tourney.
