Title: Powder paint
Post by: Eric-Maine on January 30, 2023, 03:59:47 PM
So my wife left me home alone this weekend......

Rabbit fence, roasting pan, oven 275 for 25 minutes.

Worked good. No smell, no mess. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230130/772fb5b5136b7bfcc5aa1aa38a1d37bb.jpg)

Nice looking setup Eric, you could do a bunch with it.

Very nice! ~c~

I've had a powder coater and convection oven in my garage for the past five years. Never used it yet. :(

It looks good and I like the simplicity of it. Shows you don't need expensive equipment to get the job done.

Nice job! Those all look great!  ~c~

I have a setup for powder coating too, 4" fluid bed and extra cups, dedicated oven, & racks for hanging the jigs between steps.

I've used various paints over the years, but for the resulting finish, plenty of colors to choose from, and durability, powder coating has been about the best.

And yes, sure is better than those with nasty smelling solvents!  lo

Same as I have, made the fluid beds, there isn't much out there in the way of good ones.
