Portage River Ohio. Fishing Muddy Water for Bass. This is a fishing trip from last year I did on the Portage River near Port Clinton. There are times when muddy water can make for a tough day of fishing. There are certain things you can do to increase your chances of catching bass when facing these conditions. I went to KSU and fished Portage Lakes. Caught a lot of small mouth in those waters.

Portage Lakes is a great fishery. I've fished it few times. Huge largemouth in that chain. Milton Lake which isn't too far from there has some nice smallmouth action.

It sure is. I have a close friend that lives just 15 minutes down the road from it. JCJ Bass Fishing if you look him up on Rumble. That Turkeyfoot has some of the weirdest boating hours. I'm never sure when you are allowed to run there. It's just something to be aware of if you ever fish it.
