Title: Question on aerial map
Post by: Reservoir Runner on June 11, 2023, 11:10:23 AM
Was wondering if there is a mapping service on line besides Google Earth Pro that can give you a current aerial map of the WSSC Reservoirs. Google Earth only shows from about '95 back, was looking for an aerial view to see how far down they drained Triadelphia for sludge removal.

It's pretty empty. the upper half of the lake is essentially a stream. There is not fishable water until you get about a 1/2 mile or so north of the pigtail area. Here's a link to some pics I've take there. These are all from the big branch or sunshine areas. Can still find some fish though, just have to want to take a nice little hike :)

Thanks for posting the pictures. I fished Triadelphia and Rocky Gorge for over 20 years, never knew what the riverbed looked like until now. All the grass growing on the bottom in places should be good for holding baitfish for the big fish to eat next spring,
