Thanks for thinking of us. We live about 35 miles from the Thompson fire. We have not had any smoke to speak of, thanks to favorable wind direction. The fire has had a lot of people who live around Lake Oroville evacuated. They are able to return home now. The whole Oroville State Park project is still closed. The fire is 71% contained now. Hopefully they will have it wrapped up in the next week. We are having scorching weather. High today is forecast 114 degrees! That makes it more challenging. Our fire fighters are awesome.
With our area only concerned with the hurricane I hadn't heard about this. Can't imagine the heat those Fire Fighters go through... Keep us posted please.

I was out on Lake Oroville today. The fire is contained, but not entirely out. There were a few houses and structures lost, as well as forest and grass land. One of the major launch and picnic areas is closed, but the park is open and other ramps are available. Thanks for everyone's concern.
On a positive note, we had a decent fishing day, topped off by a 3.05 spotted bass that I caught on a Yozuri walking top water

Thanks, Oroville is producing some decent spots right now, especially for summertime.
