Title: Lowe 180 Stinger Widetrac
Post by: Navy Chief on June 18, 2006, 10:49:27 PM
Does anyone have one or had the chance to see/be in one? I am thinking hard about upgrading from the Roughneck 1860 w/evinrude 40 hp tiller I have now. The boat I have does get the job done, but I would like to start fishing tournaments locally when I go on shore duty next year. I have 3 kids 13 yo daughter, 10 yo son, 7 yo son, they all love to fish, and was wondering if anyone had any good information on the boat. I have purchased 2 new LMS 332C's I would have put on the boat, so the electronics would be covered.

Thanks for any info I can get, anyone have any prices on these??

I am not familiar with the 180, but I recently purchased the Stinger 175.  I like it, but the dual livewells are at times problematic.  There's only one pump to the two livewells, so I guess air bubbles get in the line and you have to prime it.  I have two kids 11 and 7.  The front deck is set up to where you can have two fishing seats up there.  This was a big selling point for me because I remember me and my brother fighting over who got to fish the back deck and who had to fish in the floor of my dad's boat.  I paid between $12-12,800, but I don't remember exactly how much.

loweboats.com will should get have that information.  I requested a catalog from the website in April, and got it day before yesterday.
