Cousin Rick, and whomever else reads this: Do Not get comfortable with the championship, for in 2005 , Maryland teams will whoop up on you all and take the championship back to Maryland!!!!! Not a wish, just facts....
~roflmao
I'm going to have to start wearing my hip boots to read Dundee's post. lo
I am really going to laugh when you southern louisiana boys come up here and woop up on ALL of us... :'(
Rattle, If your are wearing hip boots, that is illegal. No wading allowed in the tourney. ~fl
I wont need them for the tournament. I just need them to get me through all the BS that's building up around here. And judging from the header of this thread I would say it's building up fast. lo
Boy oh boy, now that's "First Class", there's nothing wrong with wishing & hoping for the best and wanting the Champinship,
But dundee, there's a guy from your part of the woods, maybe a little south, in N.C. or S.C., not sure, that had a very famous saying..............
"TO BE THE MAN, YOU HAVE TO BET THE MAN" OR "TO BE THE CHAMP, YOU HAVE TO BET THE CHAMPS" Whooooooopppppppppp Natural Boy Rick Flare!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo lo

They say that if you keep telling yourself something, eventually you start believing it!
I think that is what he is doing! lo
Cousin Ricky, If you see a Maryland team member with a bag over his head it my be me!!!! Dundee, Dundee, Dundee Oh what are you starting?? We may be eating Louisiana Crow for quite a while. Hope it tastes just like Chicken. We may have enough after this tournament to host a Crow feed before we leave. Your cousin Crazybass
Crazy, You can ask one of the lockjaw members...They should be able to tell you how it tastes! ;) lo
Hey bassadict69,
are you going to be able to go over to BPS with us tomorrow.? And maybe a lite supper at Chili's.?
just checking buddy,
Ricky
Bassadict69, You all will find out how it tastes in 2005. Like I said The Championship Will Be Coming to MARYLAND. Oh, by the way, Crazy Bass looks better with a bag over his head anyway. Rickoos, I think you meant to say "Nature Boy Rick Flare".......Anywhoooo, We will win !!!!!!
Yeah, that's the one buddy, he is still styling & profiling and trying to act like he is still 21 years old. ;)
Do you know have many team members you will have coming? minus crazybass.... lo lo
Ricky
I am hoping at least eight, so far, I think we have 6 to 8. I will be working on more at our next club meeting. I am trying to get an invading force together....
Wow!!!!!! That would be a great showing for sure...... ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
Good thing June is a little ways off, that gives me time to go back to Bass Catching 101 & 102...... lo lo lo
I really look forward to meeting & fishing with all of the mighty Turtle's from Maryland...... ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
Ricky
The trash talking is all in fun. I keep myself pumped up. I am looking forward to this experience, and meeting everyone. Crazy Bass still looks better with a bag over his head. I tried to talk him into calling himself "UGLY BASS" , but he would not go for it. When you see him, make sure you are wearing a garlic necklace, and have a cross handy.......
Ricky,
I should be able to make it as long as it is ok for my daughter to come. I have her this weekend. I think I read somewhere that 5:30 was the time for Chili's. What time are ya'll gonna try to hit Bass Pro?
This is really starting to sound like it will be a BIG tournament. I am looking forward to meeting more of ya & being able to put faces (or bags) to the names!
That's a good one bassadict69, lo lo lo lo lo
We should be in town around 10:00, take the boat to Mike's place, our guide....Go to Cross Lake, look around, get my lake sticker, then to lunch and then to BPS, I'm thinking BPS around 2:00 pm, maybe then off to church for us and then Chili's at 5:30 pm.
AND YES, BRING YOUR DAUGHTER, this is a family affair among good friends, please don't leave her out, one day she might grow up and want to fish with dad, the one who didn't forget about her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mike will call and keep everyone updated on the times, seems like a lot of trouble for ya'll for us coming up to fish.....maybe one day we can repay everyone for their kindness.........
Ricky ;)
Dundee Mike did you say "UGLY BASS"? I'LL see you at the tournament tomorrow. I'll be the one weighing in the large green fish!
Up ohhhhhhh,
Dundee's in trouble again, and with his own buddies........ lo lo lo This there trouble brewing over the hill for the "wish upon a star", dundee,???? :o :shocking: ::)
I guess we will have to wait and see after the weekend when crazybass gives us the fishing report.... ~c~ ~c~ ~c~
Up geaux, Crazybass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :toot: :toot:
Ricky
Hey Rickoos, I better tell you first before old Dundee Looselips does. :'( I skunked on Saturday. :surrender: I'm sure Dundee will have a good time with this.
Now this looks like it is going to be a good one lo
Yes, Crazy Bass SKUNKED at our club tourney. But, I will be gracious, about it even though, he bad mouthed me. Yes, he really showed me, AHHHHHH " NOT "!!!! He must have taken his bag off his head and scared all the fish. When, he came in, his partner was in a state of shock , he kept Mumbling, " he is soooooo ugly". Better luck next time ole Crazy Bass.....
Oh, you're so bad to your best friend & cuz crazybass.........One day in June you just might need him........ lo Better be nice to him........ lo
Ricky
PS: Thanks for the new siggy's.............
It's OK Rickoos. He just may need me in June. Dundee's just jealous because I'm much YOUNGER and better looking (even with my bag on). One thing about Dundee Mike is his big heart. He helps so many people with information and tips. He is a blast to fish with if you know your rock and roll oldies. By the way Rickoos thanks for the invite to stay at your place after the tournament. Will you have any time before the tournament to fish one day on the Red River or Toledo Bend? I will be there on Monday evening. Looking forward to meeting everyone in June.
Yea, right crazy bass. That is why you were wearing a bag over your head at the last tourney. Just so happen, I have a picture of you with the bag on...See below...

CrazyBass, just so happens that a good launch on the red river is only about 15 from the Grand Bayou. If your nice, Okey Dokey Dave lives very close and could hook you up may have to be after work though.
Thanks Mike, will the same license work for the Red River and Grand Bayou? Tidal versus impoundment? I'll be good but I can not vouch for you know who!
I am going to be good from now on, I want Santa Clause to see I am a good boy. Just to set the record straight, Crazy Bass is a very good friend to have. He is fun to fish with, and to be around. He is funny and can take a joke. If you have him for a friend , you have someone special. And I consider myself special, to have him for a friend. Ok, Crazy Bass, now you will have to deflate your head.....
Crazybass...the same license works all over Louisiana. Well, except down south where some areas require a saltwater license in addition.
Thanks Mike. In Maryland some lakes and impoundments require a fresh water license and some rivers may need a tidal license and some rivers could be tidal below the salt line and fresh above the salt line and some rivers you can use either. Confusing isn't it. Makes me buy a Maryland Tidal, Maryland fresh, Virginia fresh and a North Carolina fresh.
We have some of those confusing laws also. Cross Lake requires a special boat sticker, as does Cypress/Black Bayou Reservoirs. Cane River Lake requires a special fishing license. And south of I-10 you have to have the saltwater license in addition to your normal license. I'm not aware of any other special situations.
It does get expensive.
I forgot that I had to buy a Washington, DC license to fish the Potomac River in the Washington, DC area. I won't get into creel limits on the Potomac River for different species of fish depending on where you launch and which jurisdiction your license is from.
crazybass it sounds like they really make you work to be able to just go fishing up there!
I'm just waiting for the day they come out with the black bass stamp on some silly shit like that.
You know that there is a Wildlife and Fisheries lady that checks out the board everyonce in a while... Don't give her any ideas there Rattle ~shhh
Laurie the Potomac is owned by Maryland but governed by the Potomac River Fisheries Commission which is located in Virginia. So, you can have a Potomac River Fisheries Commission license, Maryland license or Virginia license all reciprocal above the 301 bridge (salt line). But the Washington DC portion of the river requires a DC license. Below the 301 bridge is tidal and requires a Maryland or Virgina tidal license. The 3 licenses cost me about $60.50. Add North Carolina and Louisiana this year and I'm over $100.00+. And you better have your boat in order because you can get pulled over and checked for all required safety equipment by any of the jurisdictions. Ask ol' Dundee Mike. He didn't have his running lights on at 6:59AM and got a big old ticket because the posted sunrise was 7:12AM. The sun was plenty bright when he got his ticket but the Department of Natural Resources went by the posted sunrise.
I got lost about the time you typed 301 so it really is way too much to remember. I think I would be in big trouble :o
"What Lights"???????? You got to have lights to bass fish??????? Nobody said anything to me about needing lights to fish.......... ~shade
Poor ole Dundee, someone must have told him the same thing........ lo lo
Crazybass, don't worry, it will be worth it all just to be over here in Cajunland fishing with all your coonass cousins!!!!!!!! ;)
Ricky
Rickoos, I'm really looking forward to some of that great Cajun food when we come down there.
You know guys we take the rules of the water down here for granted because we have lived with them for years but I bet our northern pals are not aware of our special rules of the water. I am sure they are not aware of the rules or fines reguarding disturbing nesting gators or the fines if you hit a gator with your boat and the reporting requirements. God help you if they catch you hitting a gator and not reporting it. There's also the fines for disturbing nesting ducks. And then the speed limits on various lakes, of course most lakes have the speed limits posted at all public launches.
We are exempt from all southern rules. Gator, or tater, doesn't make any difference to us. Ducks, they are just a pain anyway. And finally speed limits, well they got to catch us first........
They ain't ever seen our water cops PoPo they are running 17-18 foot jon boats with 150hp on the back. lo
Jon boats, won't take much to sink them either. I guess they carry rubber bands and paper clips too, just in case one of those mean gators go after them..... :roll2: :roll2:
