I read this today if you have a small leek in your gas tank you can take ivory bar soap and put on the leek and it will seal it up till you can get it fixed right
ivory soap ! :shocking: never heard that one but will keep it in mind :-*
Kal
with a gas tank leak be very carfull ,get a tow back to the ramp and get it fixed before returning to the water no fish is worth the chance of EXPLOSION
I think a self tappin screw with some tread lock on it would be better. Don't think the soap would do your carberator or engine a whole lot of good.

Actually the tip works. Being a diesel mechanic for over 10 years, I thought I had seen it all...I have seen sticks, tree limbs, J-B Weld, Tire patches, you name it. I have seen it all jabbed into fuel tanks to keep them from leaking. The Ivory soap is a good idea because it comforms to the hole and seals it off... ;)
