Title: Cleaning Livewells
Post by: Blazer210ProV on April 21, 2007, 11:11:40 PM
Can anyone tell me how and if you clean your livewells and what do you use to do it.  My boat has screens in the livewell and the water never completely drains from the livewell and their are scales, and the water just sits in there and becomes stagnant if i am not on the water a whole lot.  After i clean it, i guess i'm gonna have to get some towels to dry it out.  Thanks in advance !

Bleach. It kills everything including zebra mussel larvae. Just rinse it out real good after you use it. If you have a recirculate option just put a cup in, fill it with water and let is go for a little while.

Thanks Karl.....  I have heard cleaning it with saltwater like you do a fish tank works, so i wasn't sure if that was ok also.  Wish me luck next week fella ! I have another big tourney on Toledo, fishing the Southeast Texas Oilman's and i'll be down there getting paid to fish for 5 days... WOO HOO ! I LOVE MY JOB, Now if i can find those fish i found a couple weeks ago.  I think there is gonna be around 400 teams in this one, so please keep me in ya'lls prayers in being safe and finding them post spawn HEIFFERS !   :roll2: :roll2:

Thanks for the offer buddy, i guess all i really need is ya'lls (UB) support.  Supposed to get rain tuesday, wednesday, and of course the ritual winds for Toledo out of the south, and a little cooler weather on tournament day as usual also..  I can't get some regular conditions down there at all.  Thanks the help !
