Title: Apache Lake Bass Fishing Report 06/03/07
Post by: ArizonaJeff on June 06, 2007, 10:13:07 AM
Lake is 90-percent full.  We have received recent reports that lrgemouth bass are being caught on and around the newly placed habitat areas (some are marked with buoys). We electroshocked last week to get a feel for the bass population.  This is the best spring method for catching bass. During the survey we were pleasantly surprised to find lots of young-of the-year largemouth as well as a good mix of one- and two-year-old bass.  Bottom line is, the largemouth population is starting to recover nicely.  Smallmouth bass were not found during the survey. There is a certified scale at the marina boathouse.
